Alumina foam ceramic filter, applicable temperature ≤ 1000 °C, is suitable for aluminum and alloy solution filtration purification.
In order to meet the increasing quality requirements of aluminum castings, the use of alumina foam ceramic filter ( plate ) is becoming more and more important. Filters are also widely used in ordinary sand casting such as tide mold casting and fixed mold casting such as automobile aluminum parts casting.
The use of filtration process is mainly based on the following considerations. On the one hand, filtration makes the flow of molten aluminum orderly and relatively calm, on the other hand, the solid slag in the molten metal is effectively removed, and the quality of the casting is rapidly improved.
The alumina foam ceramic filter product effectively removes the solid inclusions in the molten metal, so the aluminum alloy can be successfully forged, aluminum foil manufacturing, extrusion processing and other processes to obtain aluminum products. The product has a selection range from 10 ppi coarse porosity to 40 ppi extremely fine porosity, so there will always be a product standard that suits your requirements. Both ordinary sizes and special customer requirements can be provided.

Usage
Placement: AIO alumina foam ceramic filter can be placed in all parts of the casting system, the closer to the inner gate, the better the filtration and purification. Filtering area: Due to the flow-blocking effect of the filter, coupled with the gradual blocking of some of the mesh holes, the filter cross-sectional area is required to be larger than the normal sprue cross-section, which is generally 2~4 times of the normal sprue cross-section.
Clean the filter box
Gently put the filter plate into the filter box, and press the sealing liner around the filter plate by hand, in order to prevent the bypass flow of aluminum liquid; evenly preheat the filter box and filter plate, so that it is close to the temperature of the aluminum liquid, in order to remove water, and conducive to the initial gap filtration, the preheating can be used to put on the side of the furnace to implement the normal situation, it takes about 15 ~ 30 minutes: pouring pay attention to the aluminum hydraulic head of the changes in the normal beginning of the head is 100 ~ 150mm, when the aluminum liquid begins to pass through the gate, generally 2 to 2 times the normal section of the sprue. 150mm, when the aluminum liquid begins to pass, the pressure head will drop to below 75-100mm, then the pressure head will slowly increase; during the normal filtration process, avoid knocking and vibrating the filter plate, and at the same time should make the flow tank full of aluminum water to avoid too much aluminum water movement; after the end of the filtration, take out the filter plate in time and clean the filter box.
